If you possess the artistic touch and would like to paint the baby pillow, no better option. All you have to do is choose a stencil of choice or make one of your own and paint the baby pillow. Remember to use quality fabric paint as it is a baby pillow.
If a steady hand is not what you possess but embroidery is your forte, that is a good option as well. The internet is literally a dump for awesome patterns for embroidery

If you want to give one as a gift, look for a small travel size baby sleep pillow. It should be washable and non allergenic. Look for one that does not have any tassels or beads, buttons, etc. You do not want a child to choke on something.
Baby sleep pillows should be stuffed firmly so that when the toddler who lays his or head down on it, will not sink into it.

As a result of the recommendation from the AAP, the Back To Sleep initiative was started in 1994 through the leadership of several national agencies. Following this, various studies and surveys were conducted to evaluate the relevance of this change on the occurrence of SIDS. While the incidence of SIDS related deaths had decreased by half, other findings were also identified by the studies. A task force formed by the AAP issued a new statement in 2005 to include recommendations on all the new findings. Foremost, babies must be laid to sleep on the back only, not on the side.

When a child is trying to go to sleep, a baby sleep pillow can comfort them.
The use of a baby sleep pillow for babies under the age of two is not recommended by doctors. Babies often roll over face down onto a pillow and may not be able to roll off the pillow. Suffocation can result if a baby rolls over face down onto a pillow and cannot remove themself from the pillow. A baby sleep pillow should not be used until a child is ready to sleep in a bed.
