A baby’s neck muscles are weak, and cannot always prevent the baby from suffocating if she rolls over onto her stomach. Even when a baby has an ear infection or a congested nose and sleeps better with a pillow under his or her head, giving the child a pillow is risky. If your child is under two but needs her head elevated, consider putting a pillow under the mattress instead, so that the mattress itself is elevated. The mattress is firmer than a pillow, which reduces the chance of suffocation and is safer for small babies.
Second, does your baby require a baby pillow? Because toddlers and babies are proportioned differently from adults, they often sleep perfectly well without a pillow.

Introducing a baby pillow when it is not needed can actually cause pain by curving the spine unnaturally.

Mostly the good points of the pillows are ignored. Let’s take a look at the other side of the story. When a child is born his skull remains plaint through the initial time period. The constant wrong positioning of the head increases the probability of a skull deformity. Further static positioning of the baby on its backside can also trigger the skull deformity If a baby pillow is utilized then this condition can be averted as the pillow provides adequate support to the infants head.

Just remember to leave one side of the pillowcase undecorated. Decorations like decals and applique are rough and uncomfortable to sleep on.
If you’re willing to do a little basic sewing, you can also make your child a pillowcase for their baby sleep pillow. Measure the pillow along the outer seams. Each side of the pillowcase will be those dimensions, plus a half inch on all sides for the seams and two to four inches along the longest side to create a finished edge for the open end of the pillowcase.

The health and growth of an infant to a large extent depends on adequate sleep. To aid in putting the baby to a sound sleep requires the use of appropriate baby accessories.
